Owens Valley / Mammoth Lakes / Mono County / Death Valley
Dennis Mattinson / Sierra Atmospheric Forecaster

Synopsis – MON JAN 27 2025

A 545dm closed low slowly moved into our area over the weekend, with bands of snow showers pushing through Mono and Inyo County. Mammoth reported 4 inches at the Main Lodge and the Summit 6 inches as of Sunday morning. The Owens Valley recieved to about ~1 – 2 inches. Today that low will swing East into 4-Corners, with a slight chance of showers remaining for our Area. Ridging builds back in by midweek, but it doesn’t look to be as strong as it has been. There are hints of some moisture around Feb 1 / 2. Now this is speculation at this point, but something to keep my eye on…DMATT
