Area Forecast Discussion
Owens Valley / Mammoth Lakes / Mono County / Death Valley
Dennis Mattinson / Sierra Atmospheric Forecaster

Synopsis – FRI DEC 20 2024

We have strong AR to our North over Oregon and Norcal. Our region will catch the Southern edge of those storms starting Saturday through about the 30th. The pattern then will be warmer temperatures, higher snow levels and more limited moisture. The biggest storm is the Christmas Eve storm, so maybe 10 – 15 inches over Mammoth summit. There should be two additional storms after Christmas and they are too far out to make a solid forecast, so I will do that on Monday. Have a Great Go Do It Weekend…DMATT
