Delilah “Lila” Irene Brunson, a devoted wife, loving mother, and faithful servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 18, 2025 surrounded by family. She was 83 years old.
Lila’s unwavering faith, gentle spirit, and nurturing heart were the foundation of her family. Her love for the Lord was evident in every part of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of grace, strength, and kindness that will continue to inspire generations.
She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Thomas “Tom” Lee Brunson, and their children: Tammy Brower (husband John), Holly Mullanix (husband Larry), Thomas Brunson Jr. (wife Kim), Heidi Eldridge (husband Chris), and Heather Keene (husband Brian). She was a proud grandmother to 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren (3 more on the way), and one great-great-grandchild.
Lila is also survived by her sister Lorene Miller (husband Jim), her brother Robert “Bobby” Routh (wife Brenda), her cousin Ronnie Neilsen (wife Anna), and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Lila and her husband Tom shared a deep love for adventure, often traveling together and making memories across the country. She was a gifted artist whose paintings reflected her creative spirit. She also found great joy in spending time with her friends at Bingo, where her laughter and warmth were always welcome.
She will be remembered for her boundless love, her warm smile, and her steadfast devotion to her family, friends, and faith.
A celebration of Lila’s life will be held at her home on Saturday, September 20th at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to Hospice of the Owens Valley or the Eastern Sierra Cancer Alliance.
