​SCIENCE ADVISOR

​Emily is a freshwater ecologist and a science advisor for Crowley Fish Foundation. She is a PhD candidate in the Symons Lab at UC Irvine, where she studies high-elevation lakes in the Sierra Nevada and focuses on biodiversity, services lakes provide, and how nonnative fish affect mountain lake ecosystems. Emily is passionate about connecting research with people and believes conservation is strongest when local communities are engaged. She’s especially excited to contribute to fishery decisions for Crowley Lake through collaborative partnerships that protect both the fishery, its tributaries, and the lake ecosystem.
