On Monday, the Mono County Narcotic Enforcement Team (MONET) culminated a two month investigation involving the sales of methamphetamine, cocaine, and base crack cocaine from a Mammoth Lakes resident.

MONET agents, with assistance of the Mammoth Lakes Police Department, Mono County Sheriffs Department, and the Inyo Narcotic Enforcement Team served search warrants at two separate residences located in the Town of Mammoth Lakes.

As a result of the search warrants, officers report that 22 year old Julio Garcia of Mammoth Lakes was arrested for possession of Methamphetamine for sale, Possession of Cocaine for sale, and Possession of base crack Cocaine for sale.

Also arrested as result of the search warrants were 23 year old Humberto Castro and 27 year old Juan Beltan of Mammoth Lakes for maintaining a place for the purpose of selling and using narcotics, possession of Cocaine, and possession of prescription drugs without a prescription, according to Officers.

Officers report that while serving the warrants, 1 1/2 ounces of crystal methamphetamine with a street value of $4,275, were seized, along with just less than 1 ounce of cocaine worth $2,490. Scales, packaging materials, and other items related to the sales of narcotics were also found, officers say.

All subjects were booked into the Mono County Jail.
