“Mr. Schmidt was driving his Kenworth northbound on US-395, approaching Steward Ln at stated speed of 45 to 55 MPH. Party #1 was driving his Toyota Sienna southbound on US-395 heading away from Steward Ln. As both vehicle’s were headed towards each other, Party #1, for unknown reasons made a sudden left turn across the solid double yellow lines dividing the northbound and southbound lane of US-395 and into the path of Mr. Schmidt’s vehicle. Party #1 struck the front of the Kenworth as Mr. Schmidt attempted to swerve to the right and applied his brakes to avoid the crash. Party #1 suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash.
