A Celebration of Life in Memory of Skandar Reid

The sad news of Skandar Reid’s death was shattering to the many that knew him…and so many did. He had a “presence” and wonderful caring personality. He was always smiling, always seemingly calm, and everyone that knew him speaks of his kindness towards them and others. He is remembered with genuine fondness and admiration. Two qualities that say much about his character is that kids and dogs loved him…but then, so did many others.

A Celebration of Life will be held in memory of Skandar Reid on Saturday, June 19th, from 5:30 til dark at the gazebo at Millpond County Park.  All who knew Skandar are invited to attend.

Please bring:

  • A dish to share
  • Your own chair/blanket, plate/cup and utensils
  • Your memories of Skandar to share, via spoken word, music or other art form
  • A spirit of fun and creativity, as we know our friend would appreciate

A poem by Richard Brautigan speaks to how many in the community felt over his loss.

Spinning like a ghost
on the bottom of a
top,
I’m haunted by all
the space that I
will live without
you.
