Will NOT comply and any order! My enlistment ended decades ago.
Decades ago?
I wouldn’t think a petulant child of 11 or 12 would have decades of history.
Yet you apparently remained a child
Oh, but I bet you cashed that stimulus check, didn’t ya.
I wear a mask when I’m out and about just to be nice. There are a lot of elderly folks out there who are scared silly about getting this illness as well as others who have good reasons to be very worried about covid. It’s not that a big deal. In rotten times a little niceness can go a long way.
With freedom comes responsibilities. It is not an inconvenience to wear a mask in public so that I do not infect another. My freedom to choose is not abridged by a requirement to protect others. It is an easy decision, a logical choice to wear a mask that protects others. This is what we need to do along with other obligations to begin to reestablish our social and economic activities.
I wonder about how well these lock downs and other rules really work. California spent many weeks patting itself on the back for locking down three days earlier than NY and having much better numbers, and so we did – at first, well before any effect of the lock down took hold. But new NY cases started falling precipitously in late April and NY is seeing severely declining new daily deaths, while CA is seeing more than twice as many new cases per day as NY and the number of daily deaths in CA has not materially changed since late April. Meanwhile, non-locked down Florida continues to have very low death rates. The number of new daily FL cases recently began rising, but mostly among the young who are largely unaffected by the virus and hence who do not present the same grave concerns as those over 80 with underlying conditions. Hence the low FL death rate.

The governor of Florida also fired the statistician in charge of tallying covid numbers when she refused to juke the stats… and yet the state officially reported a record spike in infections two days ago. Maybe not the best example for us to look up to.
