ICSOSome disturbing news from the Inyo County Sheriff’s Department.

A press release states that on Tuesday, the Inyo County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Inyo County Child Care Program, Head Start School, regarding a suspicious phone call. The Head Start School received a call from an unknown male subject, who possibly had a British accent.
The press release states the caller made statements threatening the safety of children in or near the school. The caller alluded that he drove a van. The ICSO has no leads at this time and is requesting parents and citizens to be cautious and aware when dropping off children near day care providers and schools.

The Inyo County Sheriff’s Department is conducting extra patrols in the vicinity of schools, primarily in Bishop, but also in other school areas. The Inyo County Sheriff”s Office asks that if you see something suspicious, please call 911 immediately and provide the dispatcher with as much information as possible.  Attempt to note the make, model and color of any vehicle involved and a suspect description if possible.
