The storm was the big news over the weekend, but right before the weather kicked off the Bishop Police arrested two people after an alleged burglary at Dwayne’s Pharmacy. The two are alleged to have stolen cash and prescription drugs that included morphine.

Early Friday morning Bishop Police responded to an alarm at Dwaynes Pharmacy. When officers from the BPD, CHP, and Inyo Sheriff arrived on scene they arrested two people from out of the area. Police report that 27 year old Sean Goody of Reno was arrested after a foot chase. Goody was allegedly found with cash and a large quantity of narcotics.

Police report that 25 year old Heather Riley, from Incline Village was detained outside of Dwayne’s when officers arrived. She was later arrested.

Mark Johnson, assistant District Attorney for Inyo county reports that the two are alleged to have stolen cash, along with roughly $8,000 worth of morphine, OxyContin, and OxyCodone. OxyContin and OxyCodone are very strong pain relievers similar to morphine.

Assistant DA Johnson reports that he intends to file charges of commercial burglary, grand theft, as well as possession and transportation of a controlled substance.
