Bishop Softball played their first game of the season on Friday. They played at Immanuel Christian in Ridgecrest, losing 17 to 7 in 5 innings. This was Immanuel Christians 8th game of the season. It was a good outing since some team members just made their first practice on Monday. Sienna Fuller took the mound for her first game, going 4 innings allowing 11 runs on 6 hits, 4 walks, and 1 hit batter and 3 k’s, with 5 unearned runs. Larissa Ariaz came in in relief in the 5th ,giving up 6 runs on 5 hits, 1 walk and 1 hit batter with 4 earned runs.
Offensively,
Katya Fierra was 1 for 3 with 3 stolen bases, and 1 run scored.
Cambrie Lanphear had the big bat going 3 for 3 with 1 HR and double, 1 stolen base and 3 runs scored.
Braydee Momberg was 1 for 3 with 1 run scored.
Faye Spoonhunter was 2 for 3, with 2 stolen bases, and 1 run scored.
Laila Beall was 2 for 2 with 1 walk, 1 stolen base and 1 run scored.
The coaches were pleased with the outing. They had a solid defensive game.
