Bishop Union Varsity Girls Soccer hosted Frazier Mountain Falcons on Wednesday for their first meeting for the year. In a makeup game. The Broncos are now halfway through their season.
The Broncos came out to show there power scoring in the first three minutes. The team scored seven goals in the first and second halves. The final score was of 14 – 0. Eight different players scored during the game.
Captain Alyssa Buchholz lead the team with 4 goals and 3 assist. Forward Ashley Sandoval had 2 goals and 3 assist, while Ellie Crall and Tatum Derr each had two goals. Brooke Taylor, Madyn Weller , Sydney Norcross, and Katya Fierro each had one goal.
Coach Bill Dailey said this team has so many offensive weapons and are very selfless. Each player is willing to give the ball up to allow another player to take an easier shot. Coach Bill Dailey said the team is constantly improving.
The defense was able to shut down the Falcons’ attack and did a really good job.
Madyn Weller was named player of the game for her constant front and midfield pressure and her first touch and ball control.
Next week the Broncos will host Kern Valley Bronx on Tuesday at 3 o’clock and will travel to Frazier Mountain on Thursday.
