Bishop Union High School girls soccer team took on the Mammoth Huskies for their second meeting of the season. The first game ended with a 1-0 win for Bishop when a cross from Brooke Taylor was deflected in by a Mammoth defender.

This game Bishop had a slow start with the first goal being scored unassisted by Sydney Norcross at the 10 minute mark of the first half. Two more goals were scored by Bishop’s Brooke Taylor from Alyssa Buchholz and Ellie Crall assists. The first have ended with a 3-0 score for the Broncos.

The second half produce five more goals. The first goal was scored by Katya Fierro, three from Brooke Taylor and one from Gabby Veenker. In the second half Ashley Sandoval had one assist and Alyssa Buchholz had two assist.

The game ended with a final score Bishop 8 and Mammoth 0.

Coach Bill Dailey said his team showed up and put on an exciting performance. He say the Mammoth Huskies have a very strong team and always give his girls a run for their money. This was truly a team win. Coach Bill Dailey say the player of the game goes to the entire team.

Bishop will travel to Rosamond and face the Roadrunners this Thursday.
