Inyo Narcotic agents have arrested a Bishop resident on charges related to the alleged selling of methamphetamine.

inyo_county_jailINET Commander Jeff Hollowell reports that after a two month investigation, agents arrested Luis Bob Martinez on January 29th. Hollowell says that the case started when concerned citizens contacted INET with information regarding Martinez and countywide sales of methamphetamine.

Hollowell reports officers arrested Martinez on local warrants after a vehicle stop in Big Pine. Martinez was taken back to his residence where officers conducted a search. The search of the residence where Martinez had been staying, turned up two loaded firearms and about a half an ounce of methamphetamine, Hollowell reports. Martinez is a convicted felon and was booked on charges of possession, possession for sales and transportation of methamphetamine, along with being a convicted felon in possession of firearms, and committing a felony while on O/R release from LA County on a possession for sales case. There was an additional charge of assault on a peace officer. Martinez is being held on $230,000 bail.
