Police report the arrest of 35 year old Bishop resident Ty Allen Mosher, for alleged burglary at the Imperial Gourmet Chinese Restaurant.

According to the Bishop Police, at 6:40 am on Friday, officers were called out to the Imperial Gourmet to respond to a burglary call.

Police say that a witness saw a man leave the building wearing black gloves and a carrying a money bag that businesses commonly use for bank deposits. The witness also described the suspect and the suspect vehicle, according to officers.

Bishop Police and an Inyo Narcotics Officer stopped the suspect vehicle on North Sierra Highway near See Vee Lane. When brought to the stopped vehicle, the witness was able to identify the suspect, Officers say. Once identified, police say that the suspect tried to run, but was caught after a brief foot chase.

Officers report that a search of the vehicle turned up the stolen money bag, cash, a controlled substance, and paraphernalia.

Police say that Mosher was booked on charges of burglary, grand theft, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of marijuana.

With numerous commercial burglary cases in Bishop in recent months, Bishop Police Detective Dave Jepson reports that officers continue to investigate connections to other crimes, but that at this time Mosher has only been arrested on charges related to the crimes alleged at the Imperial Gourmet.

Ty Allen Mosher, was also arrested in September of 2005 for alleged burglary at Home Lumber, now Stock Building Supplies, in Bishop.
