Bishop Lions will be serving hamburgers and semi-World Famous corndogs this Saturday during the Hispanic Heritage Celebration at the Tri-County Fairgrounds. Hours will be 3pm – 9pm at the Lions food booth near the Main Arena entrance, and please be patient with any long lines! The friendly Lions will be happy to serve you with their new computerized point-of-sale equipment using credit cards, but they’ll also smile as they still take cash!
If you have eyeglasses you no longer need please bring them with you Saturday to the Bishop Lions food booth and donate them to the Lions International eyeglass recycle program. Glasses will get cleaned, checked, sorted and put through a lensometer process to determine lens prescription for reassignment to a needy individual anywhere around the world, through this cooperative Lions program. Bishop Lions are part of District 46 which includes the entire state of Nevada and 7 northern California Lions clubs, including Bishop, Mammoth Lakes, Independence and Lone Pine. The Bishop Lions thank you for caring and for your support for our community projects. ##
