Bishop Lions 2024-2025 President Carole Wade has announced the Bishop Lions will again be serving approximately 150 deserving kids and sponsoring law enforcement agents and agencies for the annual Shop-With-A-Cop event December 13th. Breakfast includes all-you-can-eat famous fluffy Lion pancakes, sausage, butter, syrup both sweet and non-sugar, juice, coffee and pleasant Lion smiles and chatter as the group is served. Volunteer Lions will be doing the cooking outside the Tallman Pavilion on their now well-broken-in Blackstone grills which replaced the Lions’ old trailer grills 3 years ago.

Shown above is Bishop Police Officer David Scobie addressing the Bishop Lions membership details for this year’s Shop-With-A-Cop and asking for their annual support. The event kicks off with approximately 50 law enforcement personnel from Inyo and Mono Counties picking up selected needy family member students early December 13th and giving them a bells-and-whistles…..er……lights-and-sirens ride around town and into the Tri-County Fairgrounds for breakfast and a short program, before heading back out lights-and-sirens for return home. Officer Scobie reports local retail and business support also aids the event and they should be thanked for their contributions.
