Bishop hosted all the High Desert League teams today in a single elimination tournament to qualify for the cif individuals in Bakersfield.

In Doubles Bishop’s Kinlei Romero and Avery McGraw took first place with scoresof 6-0 6-0 first round.  Second round 6-1 6-4 and the finals they also won in straight sets 6-3 6-1.

Azul Aranzubia and Lila Santana took third place.  Their first sets were

6-3 6-2.  They lost their second round 0-6 0-1 but qualified for the # 3 spot.

Bishop’s Siena Pope and Xitlaly Solorio played off a tie break for 3rd.

Siena Pope won 6-3 6-3 to take 3rd and Xitlaly will be the alternate.

The girls head off to Garces in Bakersfield on Nov. 7th. to continue competing .

Team brackets have still not been announced.
