On Thursday, January 23, 2025, the Bishop girl’s Broncos soccer team traveled to Frazier Mountain High School. The Lady Broncos had a slow start ending the first half with only one goal scored by Brooke Taylor when she received a pass from Ellie Crall.

After a halftime pep talk, the team came out and scored four more goals. Ashley Sandoval started the second half scoring with an unassisted goal. Brooke Taylor was able to find the back of the net 2 more times. The first goal resulted from a header that was received by an assisted header from Taylor Derr. Brooke Taylor’s second goal was received from an Ashley Sandoval pass. The fifth goal of the game came from Ellie Crall who received a pass from Madyn Weller.

The final score of the game was 5-0 in favor of the Bishop Broncos. Their league record is now 8-0 placing the Bishop Broncos first in the high desert league. Their overall record for the season is 12–1.

The Bishop Lady Broncos will travel on Tuesday to take on the Mammoth Huskies for the second time this season. The game will be played at 1 o’clock at Whitmore Field in Mono County. Their first encounter with the Huskies resulted in a 1–0 win for the Broncos.

Coach Bill Dailey says the Huskies are well-coached and stated the second match should prove to be a fun and intense game to watch.

Next week on Thursday the Broncos will travel to Rosamond for their second match of the season.
