Last night at 21:16, the Bishop Fire Dept. was toned out to a report of a fire at the 300 block of See Vee Lane. Further dispatch communicated that it was a vegetation fire that was growing.
The first officer on scene reported that the fire had a slow rate of growth but that several structures were threatened. The first units on the scene stopped the spread of the fire.
Additional units helped extinguish the fire. There was a pause for officers to investigate how and where the fire started before the fire was completely mopped up.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information regarding this fire is urged to call the Bishop Fire Department.
Thankfully, it was not windy. There were buildings and heavy brush nearby that could have turned this into a major incident.
The Bishop Fire Dept. had a great response by its officers and firefighters.
