chamberChristmas Is Just Around the Corner!

Bishop Chamber staff and volunteers are already busy preparing for our town’s fun & festive Christmas events!

The annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Streets of Lights Party are slated for Friday evening, December 7th.  Be sure to pick up your Streets of Lights map and enter the raffle for dozens of great prizes and $500!

The 2012 holiday festivities will celebrate the theme

“Hooked on Christmas” and we’re hoping that everyone has fun decorating and preparing parade entries to fit the fishing theme.

The Annual Holiday Mixer will be at Union Bank this year on December 11th.
Judging for the Home & Business Decorating Contest will be December 18th.

All area businesses are invited to participate in the Streets of Lights Party and everyone is welcome to join in the parade.  For more information about all 2012 Christmas activities, contact the Chamber Event Coordinator April Leeson at (760)873-8405 or email [email protected].

Thank You Coso Operating Co.!

New Display Fixtures For several years, we have wanted to update the Bishop Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center. As you may know, the Visitor Center carries a nice selection of brochures, maps, t-shirts, souvenirs and books of local interest.  We had been struggling to display the items attractively.
“Things were quite Old Display Tables cluttered and seemed a bit disorganized,”  states Visitor Center Host Erin Gutierrez.   We looked into purchasing new display shelves, but just didn’t have the budget to get them.

Coso Operating Co. to the rescue!
Thanks to a generous sponsorship by Coso Operating Co., we now have new beautiful displays and much more room to help guests in our Visitor Center! Thanks also to City Council Member Jim Ellis for volunteering to help assemble the displays.
