The Bishop Bronco JV basketball team started out strong against Mammoth on the road last night taking a 14-5 first quarter lead. They kept up the pressure going into the half with a 26-9 lead. They kept their undefeated league season intact closing out the game 44-20.
It was a good all around game for us with all 18 kids on the roster getting multiple minutes. Ten kids marked up the score book. I was particular impressed with Derrick Cortez on the boards. He played maybe 9 minutes out of the 28 total minutes and racked up 9 rebounds.
Next up for Bishop is league rival Rosamond who’s only loss came to Bishop on a last second shot. The game is at 4:30 at Barlow lane gym on Friday.
