I was dorm roommate with Ann (she went by Ann at the time) at the University of Chicago and her friend. I am so saddened to hear she has died. She seems to have accomplished a great deal and become a part of the Bishop community in an important fashion. I admire her. I lost touch with her but a friend sent me the link to her obituary and this site.
When I first saw Bishop, California during my travels out west, I thought it magnificent and wanted to live there. Ann (or Bennett to you) did just that. A young person’s dream and yet she made a life of it.
Good bye Ann. If there is a link to any broadcast about her passing, I would appreciate receiving a link from the station.
Well, I don’t think even Bennett knew this, but I had great respect for her. I watched her grow up like me in the 30 years I have lived here in Mammoth.
I have said a lot of mean things here on the blog of hers and when I once asked her why she did not always post my comments she said it was because I said mean things and people need to hear the truth but not mean things over and over again.
Well If I ever learned anything from Bennett, it was to be a kinder human.
I continue through my life with those thoughts she had of me in mind and try to be a little kinder and gentler to my fellow human being.
So long Bennett.

Sorry she is gone.
