National Night Out: An awesome opportunity to meet our Local First Responders
By: Tyler Beadle
BISHOP, CA –
On October 7th, 2025, the Bishop Police Department held a National Night Out. This event was held from 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM at Holland Park (behind the City Hall/Courthouse). It was an awesome opportunity for the public to connect with local first responders and the community. The Bishop Fire Department had a firetruck staged so people can see inside; Along with BPD putting out the swat truck and more. Lots of other activities and exhibits were on display. Some of these included facepainting, cotton candy and games such as cornhole. The Back Alley Bowl & Grill graciously provided grilled food. Numerous First Responders from multiple different agencies had booths. Also did Crossroads Recovery, Ready Inyo, and many others.
Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event possible! Great job to Police Chief Nate Derr and the rest of the Bishop Police Department for putting it together.
