Better Late Than Never
This week’s newsletter is arriving a day later than usual—and for good reason. We wanted to finalize the judges’ scores for the 2025 4th of July Parade Float Competition, sponsored by Mammoth Holistics.
And the winner is…
Mammoth Mountain Ski Area! Woolly and the team took first place in what turned out to be a very close competition—and in a generous gesture, they’re donating their $500 winnings to IMACA (Inyo Mono Advocates for Community Action). Despite the wind, the parade was full of color, energy, and hometown pride.
Shoutout to the Standouts
The competition was tight this year, with several floats really impressing the judges: Noodle-ly, Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra, and Mono Arts Council all received high scores. Devil’s Creek Distillery was also in the running, but their iconic yellow truck had mechanical issues and couldn’t complete the route.
