Synopsis – MON MAY 26 2025

Over the weekend a mostly dry shortwave trough quickly moved thru CA-NV-AZ. Not much moisture with it, but it helped to keep temperatures in check. By the beginning of this week, a pseudo Rex Block pattern (high pressure over low pressure over the Western US) sets up. This could push temps to the warmest we’ve seen so far this year, by the end of the work week. We will see..DMATT
