WASHINGTON – Today Representative Kevin Kiley (R-CA) announced plans to introduce a Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution to halt California’s electric vehicle mandate. The Resolution will disapprove the waiver granted in the waning days of the Biden Administration for California’s Advanced Clean Cars II regulation, which would prohibit the sale of gas-powered vehicles by 2035.

Last Friday, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin announced he was transmitting the Biden rule that granted the waiver to Congress for review.

“Californians should be able to choose the vehicle of their choice and should not have that choice dictated by Gavin Newsom or unelected bureaucrats. Congress now has an important role to play in reining in the regulatory excesses in California that are taking away freedoms and causing economic damage across the country,” Rep. Kiley said.
