Area Forecast Discussion
Owens Valley / Mammoth Lakes / Mono County / Death Valley
Dennis Mattinson / Sierra Atmospheric Forecaster
Synopsis – FRI JAN 31 2025
Whoa! It’s Friday!. The edge of a major AR impacting PACNW and NORCAL, will sag South tonight into the weekend, bringing high snow levels. Areas of possible light snow include Mt. Whitney to Aspendell, Northward to Mammoth. Mammoth can expect at least a few inches by Monday, with the Owens Valley getting a slight chance of showers. As that AR continues to drop South, light precipitation should be in the cards thru the middle of next week. This is a dynamic storm and I will continue to access location and magnitude over the weekend. Have a Great Go Do It Weekend!…DMATT
