Make Water Conservation a New Year’s Resolution
The Mammoth Community Water District would like you to make water conservation a
New Year’s Resolution for 2025.

Mammoth Lakes, California – The Mammoth Community Water District wishes you a happy New Year. For this year’s resolution, please consider taking steps to conserve water. Your small changes have a big impact on future generations and the environment. Conservation and water use efficiency not only reduces your water usage, but also reduces the energy demand needed to pump, treat, and transport our water resource.
You can conserve water in your home by reducing your shower times, installing high-efficiency appliances such as toilets, dishwashers, and clothes washers, running dishwashers and clothes washers only when you have full loads, and fixing leaks when they appear. When spring returns, consider reimagining your landscape with water-wise plants native to the area. Install drip irrigation and a smart controller, use mulch where possible, adjust leaking sprinklers and make sure that they are directed at landscaping instead of concrete.

Help make 2025 a year for water conservation by doing your part to reduce water use. Visit the MCWD website for more water conservation tips. For additional questions, please contact the District at 760-934-2596.
