Community Grant Application Period Still Open
Inyo County continues to accept applications for the latest round of Community Project Sponsorship Program (CPSP) competitive grants. Funding will be available for events and projects that are sponsored by local non-profit groups and other entities and will be taking place in Inyo County during 2025.
The deadline for submitting applications is January 31, 2025. The maximum amount that can be requested is $7,500. An online application is available at https://inyocountyvisitor.com/cpsp/, where the grant guidelines, review criteria, tax status certification forms, and final report template can also be reviewed and downloaded. Applicants may request a copy of the application if they plan to submit a hard copy, however it is preferred that applicants use the online form.
In general, the CPSP program is focused on helping local organizations promote activities and programs that bring visitors to the area and enhance the cultural and recreational quality of life of the county’s residents. For example, last year CPSP grants were used to help sponsor the Friends of the Lone Pine Airport’s terminal building rehabilitation project, Inyo County Search and Rescue’s Range of Light fundraising trail races, and Friends of the Fair’s Friday Night Markets.
To be considered, the completed and signed Grant Application (submitted on paper or digitally), must be received by the Office of the County Administrator by 5 p.m. on Friday, January 31. No postmarks will be accepted.
Grant applications will be reviewed for completeness and eligibility and then forwarded to an independent Review Panel for evaluation, ranking, and suggested funding levels.
Organizations or groups with questions about the grant guidelines, the application process, or the program in general can call (760) 878-0292 for more information.
