Synopsis – Tue Dec 17 2024

High pressure continues to take control today, with dry and mild temperatures (about 5 degrees above normal for mid Dec) through Friday. Saturday the next weak storm could bring light snow and winds to Mammoth. Snow levels start at 9K and bottom out a 7K feet. The pattern with a ridge to our West and and troughing in the NE continues to be a pain in the arse to forecast for. So I continue to watch the forecast models for a prolonged cold and snowy pattern, but not seeing it yet…DMATT
