Vandalism Spree in Greater Bishop Area Results in Thousands of Dollars in Damage
Bishop, CA- Sometime between 10:00 PM on November 20, 2024, and 2:00 AM on November 21, 2024, over a dozen vehicles and businesses in the greater Bishop area were targeted in a spree of vandalism. The perpetrators are believed to have used a BB or pellet gun to shoot out windows in what appears to be a drive-by incident, causing significant damage estimated in the thousands of dollars.
The Inyo County Sheriff’s Office has received three reports of vehicles in similar condition, with windows having been shot out.
The vandalisms occurred across both the city limits of Bishop and adjacent areas in Inyo County, spanning from South Street to Winuba Lane. This series of events has left residents and business owners with costly repairs and significant concerns. The Inyo County Sheriff’s Office and Bishop Police Department are working collaboratively to investigate these crimes and identify those responsible.
“We are committed to bringing those responsible for these senseless vandalisms to justice and ensuring the safety and well-being of our community,” said a joint statement from both agencies.
