Message from Bishop Police Department re: Completion of Community Police Academy Class 01.
On November 14, 2024, the citizens that signed up for the 8-week Community Police Academy finished their last class. The citizens signed up to meet every Thursday night for three hours where they would learn about different topics such as Records, Crime Scene/Property, Dispatch, Patrol Vehicles, S.E.D./K-9, DUI, Traffic Stops and much more. This was the first ever Community Police Academy that the Bishop Police Department had put on and we are proud to announce that this will not be the last one, as we are planning to have another academy to start off the year of 2025. Sergeant Scobie, the main point of contact for the academy who put endless hours into planning it, would like to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone that attended this year and to every instructor that prepared and taught a topic. If you are interested in being part of the next Community Police Academy Class 02, stay tuned to our social media for when we are accepting applications.
Thank you,
Dominic Jahn
