On Monday Sept 16, Thomas Scott Molloy, a beloved husband, passed away. He was seventy-two. Born in Winchester, Mass on September 23, 1951. Tom is survived by his wife of 21 years, Patricia Holland, his brother Mike Molloy and sister Bette Molloy.

Tom graduated from Cornell with a Bachelor’s degree and the University of Utah where he completed his Master’s degree in engineering. He worked building the Alaska pipeline for about 5 years, in the ‘70’s, and some high rises in the Boston and Reno areas. He also worked for the City of Reno before moving to Mammoth where he worked for the Town as their structural engineer and plan checker for 21 years before retiring to Chalfant for the last 3 years.

As a kid the family spent a lot of time at Newfound Lake in East Hebron NH, being there in winter, Tom and his brother skied all the time at Tenney Mt. Tom’s passion was skiing, also boarding and XC, which he did all of his life, it’s where Tom and Pat met – ski racing at Mammoth. He was a Master’s ski racer, he traveled to Europe to ski The Master’s World Criterium, where he placed 8th in slalom (his favorite) and the 2012 Master’s World Criterium at Mammoth where he was 4th in the combined. He raced many years with the Master’s, FWSA/club raced and the VC’s. He also enjoyed racing dirt cars and motorcycles with his wife. Loved backpacking and hiking the highest peaks from Alaska to South America. One of Tom’s childhood friends called him an “Adventurer and Kindred Spirit”, I guess that describes him best.

There will be no funeral or memorial.
