Mammoth Lakes Tourism, in collaboration with the Town of Mammoth Lakes and Mammoth Lakes Recreation, launched the “Keep Mammoth Lakes Unreal – It’s a Mammoth Thing” video series July 11, 2024 with a video highlighting the ever-present issue of the proper disposal of dog waste. The second video, “Car-Free is Carefree,” showcases the ease of taking public transportation around Mammoth Lakes, instead of the stress of searching for parking.

The campaign aims to create a culture of protecting and preserving Mammoth Lakes through a series of six engaging videos, each focusing on a topic that invites everyone to take action. Partners plan to release subsequent videos on topics including parking, trail etiquette, wildlife safety, and dog leashing.
