If you think it’s been hot, wait for today. Summer is here. Temps will soar to July readings, as a massive early season dome of high pressure is entrenched over the Intermountain West. An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect from today thru Saturday in the Owens Valley. To give you an idea of the heat, today will be some 15 degrees above average for early June. Latest estimates support a high of 102° in Bishop today. There will be little relief from the heat as overnight lows will be warmer than normal. Speaking of no relief, how about Death Valley today at 123°…DMATT
