Attendance is free and open to the public although seating is limited.

Poetry Out Loud (POL) encourages students to learn about great poetry through memorization and recitation. This program helps students master public speaking skills, build self-confidence, and learn about literary history and contemporary life while competing for valuable prizes for themselves and their schools. The Inyo County Poetry Out Loud winner will advance to the California State Poetry Out Loud in March. The California State Champion will advance to the Poetry Out Loud National Finals in Washington, DC.
