Mammoth Lakes Recreation is excited to bring our community together for two live, in-person
screenings of the Alpenglow Winter Speaker Series (https://www.alpenglowsports.com/winter-
speaker-series/). The Series blends two goals: 1) to inspire and motivate mountain athletes to
pursue their outdoor dreams and 2) to educate about, and raise funds for, nonprofit
organizations making a tangible difference in the community. The Winter Speaker Series is the
largest free community speaker series in the country that hosts the biggest names in the
outdoor industry.

Michell Parker will kick off the series November 30 with her show A Shift In Perspective. Parker
will take us on an emotional journey that showed her how time spent with her father after he
was diagnosed with dementia was life’s biggest gift yet, and how this new perspective helped
her succeed on a recent big mountain, Alaskan ski expedition.

There will be an in-person and online raffle. In Mammoth, purchase raffle tickets to win prizes
from Kuhl, Sierra Nevada Brewery, Sage to Summit, Dakine and more! Registering online gets
you one FREE entry into the giveaway, with the option of purchasing additional giveaway
entries. This raffle gives away some serious loot so is definitely worth it!! 100% of the online
proceeds go to the Tahoe nonprofit beneficiary for this event, TAMBA.
