After the first wave went through yesterday, the second and parent low looks to dislodge and move into our Forecast Area later Friday into Saturday. This one is wetter and colder than the last system and will provide additional inches of snow in the higher elevations. Mammoth Summit in fact has a 40% – 50% chance of 6 – 12 inches of new snow. Rainfall totals in the Owens Valley however will be light side. A few showers will linger into Sunday, but will gradually clear throughout the day. Travel impacts possible over Sierra passes over the weekend, especially in Mono County….DMATT
