Traffic Lanes to Switch Again on U.S. 395 Near Cartago
Drivers are reminded that the speed limit is 45 MPH
CARTAGO – On U.S. 395 just north of Cartago in southern Inyo County, all traffic will switch to a temporary detour this week. Beginning September 7 at approximately 4:00PM, northbound traffic will switch to a temporary lane approximately two miles north of Cartago. On September 8, southbound traffic will then switch to a temporary lane using the crossover approximately four miles north of Cartago. The speed limit through the area remains 45 MPH and traffic will still be limited to one lane in each direction. Drivers may experience short delays.
Work schedules are subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials, and/or construction-related issues.
Travelers are asked to be attentive to workers on the highway, slow for the cone zone, and move over whenever possible to give additional clearance. Be Safe and Be Work Zone Alert!
