Tuesday Talks with Fred on September 05, 2023!!! Time to talk about how what is hatching and what fly patterns to use.
Tuesday mornings from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. I will be eating my burrito and talking to fly fishers about fly fishing in the Eastern Sierra. Everyone is invited to join me for Tuesday Talks with Fred at Mahogany Smoked Meats when you’re in the area. I’m getting good turnouts from local fly fishers, FaceBook and Instagram followers. European Nymphing Techniques Seminars:
I have two opening for my European Nymphing Seminar. My last sessions of European nymphing is Saturday September 23. This full day seminar is $250.00 per person and I will provide Euro outfits setup to fish, flies, lunch and handouts. The seminar will run from 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. I will be covering how to make a Euro leader with a sighter and tippet for a two fly and three fly setup, knots to assemble the leader and tippet, successful European nymphing patterns that work in the Eastern Sierra, how to control the leader to keep it tight to feel the hits of the trout, and European nymphing entomology in a class room setting. The class will move to the water to learn how to cast, lead the flies, the different European methods, proper hook set, where to work the flies and how to properly play and land a trout while Euro nymphing one of the Eastern Sierra moving waters. Bookings for September and October :
Richard and I have openings for September and October. These two months are going to offer the best fly fishing opportunities of the season. Water levels will be at fishable levels. Trophy trout will be showing up in the rivers offering fly fishers the opportunity to catch them.
