FRI AUG 18 2023 – WEEKEND REPORT
The overall CONUS pattern has changed little in the last 48 hours. As such showers and t’storms likely each day in the afternoon, today and Saturday (40% – 50%), particularly over Mammoth & Mono County. Sunday though is a big change day, as Hurricane Hilary approaches the CA coast and downgrades to a TS as it does. The exact track of Hilary is somewhat in doubt, but there is high confidence that a substantial influx of moisture will push through Inyo & Mono County as early as Sunday. Right now estimates of 1 – 2 inches of rain is possible through Tuesday. Flash Food Warnings are likely. As we are a few days out, these values will most certainly change, so turn in for updates in Monday’s forecast…DMATT
