A reminder from the Bishop Lions Club that we are not only serving pancakes and corndogs and hot dogs and hamburgers at Mule Days, we ask that you bring your soda/beer can tabs to us, as well as any eyeglasses you’re no longer using. We recycle the can tabs to generate cash for Ronald McDonald House in Bakersfield which buys overnights for the needy kids and families. The eyeglasses get processed by inmates in Lancaster, cleaned – sorted – prescription tested by lensometer – and then shipped by Lions to various US communities and locations overseas. We thank you for your support with this recycling effort by Bishop Lions.
And as a measure of thanks to our active military and veterans, Bishop Lions will serve a free pancake breakfast Sunday, May 28, 8am to 10am, at our trailer in Food Alley at the Fairgrounds, to all attending active military and veterans. Bring a buddy who covered your 6 and enjoy Bishop Lions pancakes together at Mule Days Sunday morning May 28th. Bishop Lions salute you and thank you for your service.
