SIERRA JAN 27 2023 — DMATTs THE WEEKEND REPORT

As ridging over the EPAC extends Northward into Alaska, during the upcoming weekend and early next week. This will allow another fast, weak trough to dig south into our area. So expect an uptick in precipitation basically Sunday. This is not a big storm and I am not seeing much right now in the QPF (Quantitative Precipitation Forecast), maybe 0.38 inches in our area. But that’s enough to squeeze out up to 5 inches of snow at Main lodge and up to 7 inches over the Summit. Cold and dry will follow this system into next week…DMATT
