Join Northern Inyo Healthcare District for a special Healthy Lifestyle Talk spotlighting our Labor & Delivery Center. The talk is set for Thursday, Sept. 29, at 5:30 p.m.

The talk is being held virtually via Zoom or the NIHD YouTube channel so that families in the surrounding Eastern Sierra communities may join in and become familiar with Inyo and Mono counties’ only resource for Labor & Delivery.

When families visit the NIHD Labor & Delivery Center, expecting parents will be treated by a team of highly trained, profoundly caring professionals familiar with the unique needs of each delivery. The staff members – physicians, nurse midwives, nurses, and support team – play an essential role in each journey to parenthood.

NIHD’s providers are highly trained and experienced in the latest care methods for pregnancies. Their diversity in backgrounds and approach make them better prepared to provide outstanding and compassionate care. Expecting parents will find that our providers work as a team.

Our skilled nursing team is the heart of the Labor & Delivery Center. Each year, the nursing team welcomes almost 200 babies into this world with exceptional expertise only gained through bedside experience. Well-versed in topics including delayed cord clamping, skin-to-skin bonding, and lactation, the nursing team also earned NIHD the prestigious Baby-Friendly designation, which means NIHD upholds the highest standard for infant feeding.

This educational presentation is part of NIHD’s monthly Healthy Lifestyle Talk Series. The talks are open to the public and free of charge. Once again, the talk will be presented in two formats:

  • Broadcast LIVE on the Northern Inyo Healthcare District YouTube channel. Please note that to participate in the Q&A session on YouTube, you will need to be logged into that service. It would be best to log into Zoom if you do not have a YouTube or Gmail account.
  • Presented live on Zoom. For information, please visit www.nih.org/events-calendar or see the blue banner atop the nih.org home page.
