The talk, titled “SPF a Day Keeps the Wrinkles Away,” is set for Thursday, May 19, 5:30 p.m. This talk is free, open to the public to watch via YouTube or Zoom.
Skin cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the U.S. with an estimated 10,200 cases anticipated in California this year, according to the American Cancer Society. Most skin cancer cases and deaths are caused by exposure to UV radiation, and thus are potentially preventable. Dr. Plank will discuss how to minimize these exposures with awareness and relatively simple actions.

Dr. Plank specializes in skin cancer treatments and reconstructive procedures. He has always been an avid outdoor enthusiast, spreading this love of the outdoors to his children. He has been visiting Bishop and the Eastern Sierra for more than 20 years.
