Mono Supervisor Hap Hazard has stayed on top of AT&T officials to make sure the Tri-Valley area has cell phone service. Recent information looked hopeful but service remains a problem.
Supervisor Hazard said that he received information Monday that the AT&T cell site on Sherwin Grade is up and operational. Hazard asked constituents to test the site by trying to make a call from the Tri-Valley area. Hazard pointed out that this improvement was designed as the first step in a series of three steps to reach a long term solution for cell coverage.
Supervisor Hazard emailed yesterday to say that he has received several citizen replies, and it appears there has been no improvement in service at the community level. Hazard indicated he would call an AT&T official to discuss options.
The comments from constituents who tried to make calls thanked Hazard for his efforts but said “still no service.” Another person said service seemed worse. Still another said, “I am not able to use my phone from my house at all. I have been paying $70 a month for nothing much and I am not a happy camper.”

Great, can he help lobby for improvements to my T-Mobile service? How about Sprint too..
I finally switched to Verizon. Tired of all the issues and bad service w/ AT&T. it has been horrible this past year!!!!
Luckily, I didn’t sign into a contract when AT&T acquired Alltell… I took the free phone instead of “upgrading”.
Service is great now!
