Since 1985, October has been recognized as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. One in eight women will be diagnosed with this disease each year.
In honor of everyone this disease affects and to raise awareness, our officers are wearing a special edition pink patch and pink badge on their uniforms.
MLPD pink patches are for sale and proceeds will benefit a local cancer charity. The patches are $10.00, and you can buy them at our station with cash or by check payable to “MLPDPOA” (Mammoth Lakes Police Department Officers Association).
