Peter Louis Marzano, Jr., age 65, was tragically taken from us on Friday August 3rd, 2018 in a traffic accident near Lee Vining, CA.

Peter L Marzano Jr

Born in San Jose, CA on May 6th, 1953 to Peter and Betty Marzano, Pete called June Lake and Porterville, CA home for the majority of his years. A skilled heavy equipment operator and contractor, Pete lived for the job and prided himself in the family businesses of Mammoth Ready Mix and Marzano & Sons that he helped build and make successful.

His work was second only to his family, whom he cherished more than anything. Pete touched the lives of all those he came in contact with and would do anything to help a friend, family member, or even a stranger.

He had such a wonderfully great impact on this world, and his shining smile, heart of gold, and immense wisdom will be missed forever. Those who knew him best, know that he lived life to the fullest and passed away doing what he loved.

Pete is survived by his wife Marci, daughter Melanie and son-in-law Dana, son Pete and daughter-in-law Megan, daughter Tiffany and son-in-law Edward, granddaughters Bridget and Demi, four sisters, two brothers, many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at June Mountain (3819 Hwy 158), August 19th at 11:00 AM, but please arrive at the chairlift at 10:00 AM.

A second celebration of life will be held in Porterville on August 25th (location to be announced later). In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for those able to donate blood at your nearest donation center in Pete’s honor.
