SITUATION

Current Situation: Fire activity overnight was minimal with creeping and smoldering activity. Progress continued toward increasing containment.

Mandatory Evacuations: There are a few residences near 5 Bridges / Fish Slough area that are still under evacuation orders due to power issues.

Evacuation Centers: The Bishop Tri-County Fairgrounds, 1234 Fair Street, Bishop CA 93514 – Phone: (760) 873-3588

Animal Evacuations: All animal evacuations are being handled at the Bishop Tri-County Fairgrounds

Road Closures: Brockman Lane (north of HWY 395), 5 Bridges Road, Pleasant Valley Reservoir Road, Jean Blanc Road, and Dixon Lane (west of housing area towards Brockman) Pleasant Valley Campground is closed. Escorts by Inyo Sheriff for emergency necessity only. Pit Campground is closed; however, escorts are available to retrieve belongings through BLM.

Cooperating Agencies: Unified Command with CAL FIRE and Inyo County Sheriff.
Additional cooperating agencies: BLM, Inyo USFS, CAL OES, CHP, CDCR, CAL TRANS, Mono County Sheriff, Paradise Fire Dept., DWP, Mammoth Fire, Bishop Fire, Big Pine Fire, Independence Fire, Lone Pine Fire, Long Valley Fire, Wheeler Crest Fire, Red Cross and Southern California Edison.

UPDATE regarding #PleasantFire:

Repopulation into most evacuated areas will begin at 3:00 pm today. There are a few residences near 5 Bridges / Fish Slough area that are still under evacuation orders due to power issues.

County Road closures still in place:

  • Brockman Lane (north of HWY 395)
  • 5 Bridges Road
  • Pleasant Valley Reservoir Road
  • Jean Blanc Road
  • Dixon Lane (west of housing area towards Brockman)

If anyone has belongings at the Pleasant Valley Campground – this area is CLOSED. Escorting will be provided through the Inyo County Sheriff’s Office only for emergency medications or supplies, not to remove vehicles or take down campsites and only if law enforcement personnel is available – 760-878-0383.

If anyone has a vehicle, or belongings at the BLM Pleasant Valley Pit Campground, they can connect with BLM for escorting.

Current Situation: Significant winds continue to hamper firefighting efforts, the fire is burning in the Pleasant Valley Reservoir Area heading toward Law’s Museum

Mandatory Evacuations: Brockman to Highway 6, including the Highlands, Chalkbuff, and Meadow Creek areas.

Current Situation: Significant winds are hampering firefighting efforts, the fire is burning in the Pleasant Valley Reservoir Area heading toward Law’s Museum, Hwy 6 closed between Hwy 395 and Nevada State Line. Local Road Closures in effect: Pleasant Valley Rd., Brockman Rd. and Chalkbluff Rd.

Evacuations: Meadow Creek Area and Pleasant Valley Campground, Rudolph Ranch, Highlands, Glenwood, Rite-Aid Complex, Bear Creek, Dixon Lane – All housing areas between North Sierra Highway/Dixon Lane/Brockman, Five Bridges, Fish Slough and Laws.

Evacuation Centers: The Bishop Tri-County Fairgrounds is open as an evacuation center to families and animals who are being displaced:
